Local musician Rema Namakula might want to forget her trip to Turkey. Few days ago she made a trip to Europe to perform at different shows, but while at the airport in Turkey, the singer was racially abused, according to communication on her social media.
“I thought racism stopped until yesterday when a woman referred to me as a monkey. A baby even cried after seeing us and the mother confirmed that we are monkeys,” she narrated in a video posted on her Facebook.
This, however, did not stop her from progressing with her planned shows. She proceeded to London where she says she received a great welcome.
