Lewa is among 55 Kenyans who perished after an ill-fated bus belonging to Western express was involved in an accident, along the Londiani-Muhoroni road in Kericho County.
The Western Express bus was ferrying passengers from Nairobi to Kakamega when it veered off the road while going down a slope, then rammed into a rail guard making it to fall into a valley killing the 55.
Reports indicate that Lewa was heading to Kakamega Homeboyz to sign a new contract with the Club.
