The vehicle that slipped off a ferry at the Likoni channel crossing and sunk into the Indian Ocean with a woman and her daughter has been retrieved.

A multi-agency team failed suspend the operation Thursday evening because of strong currents underwater.

Government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna asked the media and on lookers to be sensitive when taking pictures of the vehicle which had the bodies.

A service will be held by the military where they will pay their last respects to the deceased.
