Kandara MP Alice Wahome has sensationally accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of defecting to the National Super Alliance (NASA).
Wahome, who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, made the allegations while responding to a story by the Nation – revealing a political alliance bringing together Kenyatta, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula, and Kanu’s Gideon Moi.
The outspoken legislator, warned that President Kenyatta risked being isolated as the masses in Jubilee would not follow him on the new alliance.
“First there is a National Super Alliance against UhuRuto. UhuRuto carries the day and NASA automatically becomes the official opposition. Uhuru crosses over, joins the official opposition and forms a high table leaving out Ruto and Kenyans who believed in the duo. We haven’t crossed over and we haven’t changed our minds. We keep promises,” Wahome stated.
The Kandara MP became one of the few Mt Kenya elected leaders who have launched a direct attack on President Kenyatta.
Mt Kenya MPs who belong to Ruto’s Tanga Tanga camp, have been criticising some of the President’s handlers and allies without directly fighting the head of state, unlike their counterparts from the Rift Valley who have directly gone after Kenyatta.
