Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika on Thursday disowned a fake post that purported to come from her account, announcing a plan to revenge against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s bodyguards.
The post was distributed on Thursday morning bearing Susan Kihika’s Facebook name and profile photo.
It made reference to an incident on Wednesday where Kihika was roughed up by one of the President’s handlers while attending a function in Nakuru.
The post purported to quote the Senator saying she was assaulted on account of her support of Deputy President William Ruto – even promising to “revisit” the incident after her candidate assumed power in 2022.
“I have this morning seen the following post making rounds on social media. It’s a FAKE post from a fake Facebook page. Treat it with the contempt it deserves,” the outspoken Senator announced on Thursday morning.
Kihika did not comment on the drama at President Kenyatta’s function.
The Standard reported that the scuffle ensued after female leaders carried their handbags in the line up where they were supposed to receive President Kenyatta.
The President’s security team is said to have ordered the handbags out, prompting protest from the Nakuru Senator – who was slapped by a woman who appeared to be in the Presidential security team.
