Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament Francis Zaake has been re-arrested after he was briefly granted bail following his arrest on Thursday night.
Authorities arrested him for continuously 'jumping police bond'.
Zaake is being taken to Gulu now for the treason case which he faces for allegedly pelting stones to the president's motorcade last year in the northern town of Arua.
The legislator spoke to local media shortly after he was granted bail and urged his supporters to remain calm.
"My supporters should be calm, this will get done, we shall overcome. We are heading to Gulu now for the treason case."
Zaake was on Friday charged by the Arua Chief Magistrate’s court for escaping from lawful custody.
