Bugweri County MP Abdul Katuntu on Monday handed over COSASE chairperson office to Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa.
Munyangwa was appointed as new head of COSASE last year when Leader of Opposition in Parliament made reshuffles.
Katuntu's tenure was briefly extended by Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga to allow the committee to conclude the probe into Bank of Uganda's illegal sale of seven commercial banks.
Katuntu’s tenure was supposed to end on January 13 but was extended to February.
The pair met on Monday and held a closed-door meeting before briefing the press where Katuntu to Munyagwa for handing over office late.
Last year, Munyangwa told reporters in Kampala that they will see a 'difference and will always follow matters to their logical conclusion, not this business of exciting the public'.
