Vision Group's Urban TV has laid off dozens of employees as it plans for 'some major changes'.

The TV channel said it will change and merge most of its programs effective Tuesday.

A statement was issued today saying they are still 'committed to serving you unrivalled content to entertain, inform and educate'.

"These changes also affect our staffing including the technical team and on-air personalities," part of the statement reads.

One of the presenters took to Twitter to announce that the changes had affected his position at the TV company.
