Miss Uganda Foundation has announced the cancellation of a planned tourism campaign trip which was to be led by Miss Uganda Abenakyo Quiin.

The campaign dubbed 'Tulambule Uganda ne Quiin' would have been flagged off on Sunday by State Minister for Tourism.

Miss Uganda Abenakyo was expected to make a 5-day trip to eastern Uganda in a bid to promote domestic tourism -- but she is not feeling well.

Part of the statement by Miss Uganda Foundation reads: "The Queen is not feeling well. Much she wanted to be part of the Tulambule trip, doctors have stopped her from travelling until when she gets well."

Abenakyo was named Uganda's the Goodwill Tourism Ambassador weeks after a historic run at Miss World where she was crowned Miss World Africa.

The campaign is expected to resume when Abenakyo feels better.
