Ugandan Singer turned Member of Parliament Bobi Wine was at the forefront in leading the Ugandans against the social media and mobile money transfer tax.
The tax which was introduced by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has seen unrest in the country.
In a video seen by Pulselive.co.ke, Bobi Wine who real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu and Kyadondo East MP stresses out that despite him being an MP he still opposes the tax.
“My name is Bobi Wine, I am a musician and I reject social media and mobile money tax. In fact I am honorable Kyagulanyi, I am a member of parliament and I still reject that tax.”
Bobi Wine, a Harvard University graduate and a great critic of Uganda’s president Yoweri Museveni is known for hits such as Kyarenga, Kadingo, Abantu, Why, Singa among others.
