The Ugandan music scene has arguably seen an increase in talent in 2018. Upcoming and already established musicians have gone overboard to give fans an amazing collection of playlists.
Tricky as always, 2018 spotlighted several musicians who owned it -- topping several charts on both radio and TVs.
Here are 6 musicians who owned 2018 in no order.
1. Bobi Wine
Bobi Wine, also known as Robert Kyagulanyi, has had a solid year -- mostly as a politician.
He has severally argued that people shouldn't separate Bobi Wine the musician from Bobi wine the politician -- this explains why he is on the list anyway.
Mid this year, Wine released 'Kyarenga' which so far has over 1 million views on the giant streaming platform -- YouTube.
It has been an anthem among Ugandans -- both to show love for his music and also glorify his political movement -- especially after his brutal arrest in the northern part of Uganda in mid-August.
Wine held arguably one of the biggest concert of the year at the One Love Beach in Busabala attracting thousands of people.
2. Fik Fameica
This young rapper's rise into stardom sprouted early 2016 when he released 'Pistol'.
The song, which is his version of Lethal Bizzle and Diztortion's 'Fester', spotlighted his growing talent.
Fik Fameica's consistency laced with catchy songs like 'Kutama', 'Mbega wa Baala' among others kicked started his flourishing career.
Despite the controversy surrounding how he allegedly plagiarizes songs, the mainstream rapper used 2018 to go an extra mile and releasing some of the memorable songs of his career.
He secured a gig on Coke Studio Africa for next year's season which is likely to air in January.
On Friday, he held his first ever concert attracting hundreds of fans.

He later released back to back hit songs including, 'Mummy', 'Tulo', 'Oruso', 'Guli wano' and others.
A Pass also collaborated with Rouge and Fik Fameica to create 'Midnight Drum' ft DJ Maphorisa.
The commercial song has gone on to become a constant on several music charts.
In April, A Pass released his album dubbed 'African Yayo' -- a self-produced 26-track music project.

King Saha has for quite some years released some amazing songs that manifested his amazing talent.
However, 2018 has been extra special for him as he tries to break the mould into a huge Ugandan fan base.
With solid songs like 'Biri Biri', 'Very Well' and 'Mpa Love' -- King Saha has his career elevating successfully.
As much is talked about in controversy of him trying to sound like the late Mowzey Radio, he has carried on the criticism and turned it into something amazing.
Speaking to Pulse Live early this month, he said he felt honoured to be compared to the late music genius.
King Saha is expected to hold his concert -- which is usually a yardstick of a successful music career -- early next year.
Swangz Avenue's favourite musician Vinka has sailed in 2018 with ease.
