A truck rammed into a Pepsi promotional car being delivered to the winner
The nasty accident happened in Nakasongola along Kampala-Gulu highway on Tuesday night.
The crashed Pepsi vehicle was reportedly being delivered to one of the winners in Gulu who participated in their promotional campaign.
Reports indicate that the truck lost control due to over speeding and rammed into the Pepsi vehicle and motorcyle.
The 3 injured persons are receiving treatment at Nakasongola Military Hospital and Lacor Hospital in Luweero, according to Savannah Regional Police spokesperson.
Crown Beveages, the bottlers of Pepsi soda and other products, said in a statement that they are "deeply saddened by this tragic accident and send their deepest condolences to all the families that have lost their loved ones".
Plans are underway to transferred the injured people to Uganda's capital, Kampala, for specialised treatment.
